The multi-faceted CRIS JUDD straight from on tour faculty and recent judge of New Zealnads Got Talent came from humble beginnings in Abilene, Texas – becoming one of the most popular Dancers ever to tour with The King of Pop himself – and inevitably succeeding in Hollywood. Silly (but still cool!) – he found himself named one of People Magazine’s 25 Hottest Bachelors and 20 Hottest Hunks.
At the ‘ancient’ age 21… CRIS began dancing. Within a year, he was dancing & choreographing at Disney World’s Pleasure Island, then was chosen as one of the original Chippendale’s dancers! Hey… sometimes, that’s what it takes to pay for technical training while aspiring to dance for The Very Best. And so… by 25 - CRIS was hired to dance with Michael Jackson for the MTV Video Music Awards! From there he was invited to lead dance for Jackson on both the Dangerous AND HIStory world tours. By 26, he was performing at the Billboard Music Awards (Celine Dion), the MTV Music Awards (N’SYNC); the American Music Awards (Enrique Iglesias and Brian McKnight), and at the 69th Annual Academy Awards. JUDD has appeared in music videos My Way (Usher), Jump, Jive, & Wail (Brian Setzer Orchestra), If I Could Go (Angie Martinez) and Tango (Julio Iglesias).
During this time his choreography career (understatement!) took off: he Choreographed the 2000 Tour for Jordan Knight, appearances for Paulina Rubio, as well as music videos Ain’t It Funny and I’m Real for Jennifer Lopez. CRIS directed the music video, Ain't It Funny-Remix with Ja Rule and was Creative Director & Choreographer for Jennifer Lopez's NBC special, Let’s Get Loud. CRIS Choreographed the dance sequences for the film, Bringing Down The House starring Steve Martin and Queen Latifah and coached Nicole Kidman during her performance in the film, The Human Stain. In addition, he composed the song, Alive (his first track), which was selected as the theme song for the film, Enough. All of this culminated with the once-in-a-lifetime offer to take on the ‘trifecta’: he was asked to serve as Music Producer, Director, & Choreographer for Fantasy at the Luxor Resort, Las Vegas.
With his dynamic, warm on-camera presence,Cris was the Host of Dirty Dancing for WE and Bust A Move for MTV. He was celebrity Choreographer for Keeping Up With The Kardashians and The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Deciding to leave his ‘Reality TV’ career for scripted Directing assignments, he went out with a charitable bang: America voted CRIS the Winner of ABC’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, the $250,000 prize of which he donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Having just returned from starring as a Judge on New Zealand’s Got Talent, he Directed music video’s for iMen and Bench Seat. Cris is currently the TALENT SCOUT for AGT.
