Alabama native, Joy Denver Spears took Hollywood by storm at the age of 18 as one of the top 20 contestants on season 2 of  “So You Think You Can Dance”. Joy has worked with the industry’s most noted choreographers, some of which include Emmy Award winning choreographers, Tyce Diorio, Tabitha and Napoleon D’umo and Wade Robson, as well as Tony Basil, Brian Friedman, Nick Florez, R.J. Durrell, Dave Scott, Cris Judd, Michael Rooney, Bryan Anthony, Barry Lather, and the creator of the Pussycat Dolls, Robin Antin. Joy has been featured in live performances and music videos with artists such as Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Pink, Paula Abdul, DJ Havana Brown, Kat Graham, Priyanka Chopra,, Luke Bryan, Big and Rich, Chayanne, Asher Roth and the legendary music icon, Herb Alpert. Some of her television credits include: “The X Factor US”, “The X Factor UK”, “Nashville”, “Mobbed”, “Drop Dead Diva”, “Bunheads”, “Abby Lee Miller’s Ultimate Dance Challenge”, “The Graham Norton Show” “Homeward Bound Telethon for the Vets” and “The Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon”. Joy can be seen on the big screen in the feature film, “State of Play” starring Russell Crowe, Ben Affleck and Rachel McAdams and also the ABC Family movie, “A Cinderella Story: Once Upon a Song” with “Pretty Little Liars” star, Lucy Hale. She has performed at the MTV Video Music Awards, The CMT Awards, I Heart Radio Music Festival, Starfloor in Paris, ABU TV Song Festival in South Korea and Spike Tv's Guy’s Choice Awards. 


Most recently, Joy appeared in the national Ford Super Bowl commercial alongside James Franco, was a featured dancer in Lady Gaga's new music video G.U.Y., danced alongside Dierks Bentley at the 2014 CMT Music Awards and Kenny Chesney at the 2014 CMA Awards & was the leading lady in Thomas Rhett’s “Make Me Wanna” music video. She also just filmed another episode of ABC's "Nashville" alongside Christina Aguilera!


In 2011, Joy graduated from the University of Alabama with a BA in dance and minor in journalism. Joy was selected as a finalist for the Capezio A.C.E. Award and showcased her work at The Dance Teacher Summit Gala in NYC, along with 13 other finalists. Her choreography has won top awards and best choreography at The Pulse, Co.Dance, NRG, Adrenaline, JUMP, NUVO and many competitions throughout the years. She continues to travel across the country and worldwide teaching master classes. Growing up as a student, Joy credits her years of involvement with competitions and conventions as a huge part of where she is today in her career. She is passionate about staying involved and inspiring the new generations of dancers.
